The Baker’s Mind project serves as a platform for the caregiver/parent and the youths in recovery from mental condition to use pastries to share their mental health stories. This creates an opportunity to strengthen their bonding through baking. In addition, this is to celebrate World Mental Health Day that falls on 10 October 2016.

The objective is to use pastries as a form of inclusion for mental health in our society.

To mark this special occasion, we are raising awareness of what can be done (through education and inspirational stories drawn from our pastries) to ensure people with mental health issues to live with dignity.

The workshop consists of caregiver/parent and the youths in recovery from mental condition. After they have baked their pastries, part of their pastries will be sold to the public on the 8th October 2016. The sale proceeds will go to a mental health organisation. The rest of the pastries, they can bring home to enjoy with their family and friends. On top of that, Bakery Wellness will be selling their own pastries to raise mental health awareness as well.

The project is funded by NYC.
